Kalbarri Adventure ToursKalbarri Adventure Tours offers a mixture of tours. Our adventure tours range from more accessible coach tours to less accessible adventure hiking and canoe tours. Our ‘Canoeing the Gorges Tours’ are active, high-intensity outdoor experiences that are not wheelchair accessible and require a moderate to high level of physical fitness and mobility. Because these tours travel deep into rugged areas of the Kalbarri National Park navigating rough trails, rivers, and steep climbs is an essential part of the itinerary.This guide details the physical demands, environmental challenges, and sensory conditions of the tours so you can safely plan your trip. Physical Demands & Activity LevelsThe Canoe the Gorge tour are physically demanding and feature complex, unpaved landscapes.

•Wheelchair Access: No wheelchair access is available on these specific adventure itineraries.

•Gorge Descents: Getting to the water requires navigating a steep, unpaved descent into the heart of the river canyons.

•Footing & Trails: Footpaths consist of uneven sand, loose gravel, seasonal waterfall climbs, and slippery river rocks.

•Water Activities: Canoeing and kayaking require full upper-body mobility, balance to enter/exit the watercraft from natural banks, and the ability to swim.Accessible Coach Tours and JourneysIf the physical demands of an adventure tour are not a good fit. Kalbarri Adventure Tours also provide Coach Tours and Journeys between Geraldton Port (for cruise ship guests) and Kalbarri National Park and on to Shark Bay and Monkey Mia on our seniors tours. These tours allow people with more limited access to easily explore Kalbarri National Park's main landmarks as well as Shark Bay, Denham and Monkey Mia. Our spacious coach has ample luggage space to store mobility equipment. Guests will need to be able to access the coach via the stairs as we do not have a lift for wheelchairs available. The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) has invested in high-quality, paved infrastructure at these destinations.

•Kalbarri Skywalk & Nature's Window: Features completely flat, sealed pathways, continuous boardwalks, and accessible toilet facilities right next to the car park.🐬 Monkey Mia Marine Experiences

•The Dolphin Experience: The morning dolphin feedings are highly accessible. The Monkey Mia Conservation Park Visitor Centre offers complimentary, free-to-loan beach wheelchairs. This allows visitors with mobility limitations to safely navigate across the sand right up to the water’s edge where the dolphins visit.

•Accessible Boat Cruises: For a marine safari, Perfect Nature Cruises operates a wheelchair-friendly catamaran (Aristocat) out of the main jetty. They frequently spot dugongs, turtles, and wild dolphins across the bay.
